The best gift ever!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” James 1:17

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? For me, it came in the form of a baby.

At 38 weeks pregnant, I went in for what I thought would be a routine appointment. Instead, the doctor told me it was time. What?! I remember thinking, wait, I am not ready. I still have a couple of weeks. It was my 30th birthday, with dinner reservations waiting. God had other plans for that day. My birthday became something I will never forget. It was the day my son, Sean, was born.

As I reflect on Mother’s Day, I often return to that moment. Becoming a mom changed everything. I suddenly saw life through a very different lens. Decisions were no longer just about me, they were about a life I was now responsible for.

Motherhood is a love like no other. It is the greatest gift I have received and one of the most meaningful roles in my life. I thank God for my three children, Sean, Shannon, and Evan, and the unique joy each of them has brought into my life. I still remember every ultrasound and the first time I heard their heartbeats. In those moments, love came instantly and deeply.

Parenting also stretches you in ways nothing else does. It humbles you, grows you, and reshapes your priorities. Watching a child grow into who they are meant to be is one of life’s greatest privileges.

As we approach Father’s Day, I see the same truth reflected in my husband Victor’s experience. The love of a parent is difficult to fully describe. It is something you feel deeply in your core. When we experience love like that, it gives us a glimpse of God’s love for each of us.

That experience of becoming a parent is one we see unfolding everyday in the lives of the women and men who come to us.

Every person who walks through our doors comes with a story, a set of circumstances, and often a sense of uncertainty. We meet them there with care, dignity, and the love of God, no matter where they are in their journey.

Sometimes that begins with confirming a pregnancy.

Sometimes it is hearing the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. Sometimes it is walking alongside someone as they consider their options or need ongoing support. In every case, our goal is the same, to provide hope and practical help in a moment that can feel overwhelming.

Over the past 12 months, we have had more than 1,100 visits from 458 clients as we carried out our mission: Supporting Women. Upholding Life. We know the need is even greater.

As we look ahead, we are prayerfully exploring how to grow, expanding our services and ensuring more individuals and families can find the support they need when they need it most.

None of this happens without YOU, our Life Community. Your partnership makes this work possible, and we are deeply grateful for each of you.

To all mothers and fathers, we honor you this season and celebrate a love that reflects the heart of God.
