Spread God’s Word of Life

Women from all backgrounds come to Informed Choices to access our free and confidential services. We welcome them all.  They come in for several reasons - some to receive maternity and baby supplies, some seeking pregnancy confirmation, and some are struggling to decide whether they will carry this baby or have an abortion. Many of these women are women of faith and attend our local churches.

We provide a safe place for these women. Here they get the chance to pause, take a deep breath, and think through their options. In search of guidance, they share their situation and we are given the opportunity to share the truth. They often express their fear of embarrassment and shame from family, friends, and the church. We meet them where they are and show them love and support. They get the chance to make a decision based on truth, as they are offered an ultrasound to show them the precious life they are carrying. 

We also provide post abortive recovery care groups for both women and men. After attending these groups many are able to heal from the heartbreak of abortion and receive peace and assurance in God’s love. The staff and I have personally had conversations with post abortive women in the church who have felt compelled to share their story. Some have confided in us that they had never told their story to anyone else and that they didn’t know why they shared it. We try to lead with love and also speak the truth, which is often counter to the culture they are immersed in.  

As Christians, how should we respond when these decisions are happening within our own fellowship?
