As the year was coming to a close, I was reading my women’s study bible, and I read a section about “liberation,” it hit me. The Lord placed on my heart that this was our word for the new year. The word that my staff and I would focus on and use as a beacon of motivation.
When an abortion minded client comes to our clinic, we understand that facing an unplanned pregnancy can bring about a whirlwind of emotions, fears, and uncertainties. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every individual deserves to feel liberated from the weight of these concerns and show them that they are not bound to the one choice of abortion.
Yet, we know many women have or will choose abortion, and that is why we provide Post-Abortive Recovery Care to help women heal through the teachings of the Bible and their shared experiences with other women in the group. But what about the men?
Men have been left out of the equation. We have been approached by men who are suffering in silence with their post-abortive experience. One man came to our clinic, shared his story, and expressed that had he known his life would end without children or grandchildren; he would have made a different choice. Abortion has a profound generational impact that affects both women and men.
At Informed Choices, we want to help the men in our community as well. Beginning March 3rd, our male leaders will launch our first Post-Abortive Recovery Care Group for men. It’s called Reclaiming Fatherhood. If you are interested in this group, please scan the QR code to the left.
We look forward to serving women and men through the healing of Jesus Christ.
