Have You Ever Thought About the Impact of One Life?

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”

~ Jeremiah 1:5

As our Creator, God knows each of us before we take our first breath. He knows our lives, our stories, and the plans He has for us. While we may never know the full impact of our lives, God does.

Think about the people who have shaped your life. A parent. A teacher. A friend. Someone who encouraged you at just the right moment. Each of them left an imprint on your story, and their influence may have extended far beyond what they ever realized.

The same is true of each of us. Our lives touch countless others. We grow up, form relationships, give back to our communities, and influence our families and the people around us in ways that cannot be predicted or often measured. The impact continues through generations.

You might envision this as the ripples created when a single stone touches the surface of the water. One point of impact creates a ripple, then another, and another, extending far beyond where the stone first touched.

We know that every life has inherent value and dignity. October is recognized as Respect Life Month, providing an opportunity to reflect on the value of every human life and the difference we can make when we choose to care for and support others.

At Informed Choices, we have the privilege of meeting women and men at a significant moment in their story. A pregnancy test can bring clarity. An ultrasound can make a pregnancy feel real. A conversation can bring reassurance. Practical support can help someone see a path forward when the future feels uncertain.

We don't know all that God may have in store for any life we encounter, but we do know that every person who walks through our doors matters.

When a woman has the support she needs to choose life, that one decision creates ripples that reach far beyond what she can see in that moment.

The Ripple Effect, our fall fundraiser, is a celebration of the value of every life and the hope made possible through the work of Informed Choices. It is also a celebration of our Life Community. Every prayer, gift, volunteer hour, church partnership, and word of encouragement helps make this ministry possible. We may never know the full impact of the lives touched through Informed Choices, but we can trust the God who does.

We invite you to join us for The Ripple Effect on Saturday, October 24, at 6:00 p.m. at Kirigin Cellars. Come hear the story of one courageous choice for life, and the ripples that reached across generations. It is a powerful reminder of why we are here: to walk alongside women and families, offer compassionate care and practical support, and empower them to move forward with hope.

One life matters. We may never know how far its ripples will reach.
