New Chapter

It is time for a new chapter to begin at Informed Choices and in my personal life.

When I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in late 2016, we did not know what the future would hold. My medical team at the time, was less than hopeful - and I was scared. At Informed Choices, we rallied! Eventually, restructuring our staff and duties so I could continue to lead while others took on more of our day-to-day activities. Today, I find the treatment I am on to be somewhat difficult, but I am fearless, and very hopeful for the future...both mine and Informed Choices!

It is time for a new chapter in my life. It is time for me and my family to sell our large family home and downsize. It is time for my husband, Mark, and I to focus on our health as we both continue to treat cancer (Mark has bladder cancer). It is time for us to figure out how to live on  reduced income, including a possible relocation. It is time for us to help our three young adults transition toward independence. I also want to help my daughter with her business.

All in all, my plate is full, and so is my heart. Leading as the CEO of Informed Choices for the last five years has been one of the greatest honors of my Life.

This means it is time for a new chapter to begin at Informed Choices, too! It is time for our Board of Directors to discover and welcome the next CEO of IC. It is time for a new leader to bring her vision for the future. And it is time for you to get behind her and give her all the love, encouragement, friendship, prayer, and support you have given me over these precious years. You are absolutely the best! I know I can count on you.

As the page turns on this wonderful chapter, please join us in praying for the next CEO of Informed Choices, for the Board and Staff of IC, and for me and my family as we all look forward to the future with anticipation and hope.

With you for LIFE!
